Once a month vet nurse Athena holds a puppy party. These are for puppies in between their first and 2nd vaccinations (generally 8-12weeks old), who can’t yet go out into the big wide world, and give them a chance to play with other young pups in a safe environment and learn important social skills, as well as learning that the Vets & Nurses are their friends!. It is also an oppertunity for you to meet like-minded owners and we often hear of people who met at one of the parties meeting up for dog walks in the future.
The parties are held on Sunday mornings, when the surgery is closed and fully cleaned, so that the puppies can safely play on the floor.
After an introduction to each puppy and their owners, Athena will lead you through all the common areas of concern such as feeding, basic training, parasite control etc. Each class will vary according to the needs of the participents and you are encouraged to ask questions and share your opinions. There is an oppertunity to take a behind-the scenes tour of the practice
Every puppy takes home a goody bag and a socialisation plan.
All family members including children are welcome. Expect fun and a little bit of chaos!
